For Individuals
“It’s not e-waste until it’s wasted.”
— Kyle Wiens, CEO of iFixit
Reboot Stirling is a community-powered tech refurbishment project focused on reducing e-waste and improving digital inclusion.
By giving technology a second life, we aim to help reduce both the environmental and monetary cost of technology; supporting people in our community who need access to digital tools.

Free Collection
If your organisation has a number of unwanted laptops/devices, then we want to make the process as simple as possible for you. Use this webpage to arrange for us to come to you and pickup your devices.
Positive Impact
Partnering with us demonstrates your commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Your devices are either refurbished to support digital inclusion or recycled responsibly, reducing e-waste and benefiting local communities.
How We Help our Community
At Reboot Stirling, every refurbished laptop makes a difference. By extending the life of tech, we support digital inclusion across Stirling—helping individuals and families who may not otherwise be able to afford essential IT equipment.
Through our partnership with Stirling Coucil and community groups, some of our refurbished devices are distributed directly to low-income households, giving people the tools they need to access education, job opportunities, and vital online services.
We also create hands-on volunteering and skills development opportunities, helping people gain experience in tech refurbishment, data security, and sustainability. Every donation fuels local learning, reduces inequality, and strengthens our community.
Why Refurbish?
-
Less waste, more impact
The UK is one of the world’s biggest producers of e-waste - refurbishing keeps valuable tech out of landfill.
-
Slash CO2 by over 50%
Refurbishing a laptop saves hundreds of kilos of carbon emissions compared to buying new.
-
Protect natural resources
Every reused device reduces demand for rare earth mining and resource extraction.
-
Affordable tech for all
Refurbished devices cost up to 75% less, making technology accessible where it’s needed most.
