GoodBuild

Working with contractors to give surplus materials a second chance

GoodBuild, a programme from partner organisation Good Green Futures, is transforming how Stirling tackles construction waste. By teaming up with local and national construction firms, we’re diverting surplus building materials, fixtures, and paint from landfill — and giving them a new purpose. These quality materials are made available to the community at affordable prices through the Stirling Reuse Hub, helping residents save money on home improvement and DIY projects while reducing environmental impact. It’s a win-win: less waste, lower costs, and a stronger, more sustainable Stirling for everyone.

Project Story

Surplus materials are common on site due to over-ordering, breakages, or changes in project scope. Without an easy reuse option, many usable materials end up in skips. We seek to build relationships with organisations in the construction, DIY, renewables, and related sectors to give these materials a second chance at being used. Even better? We’re open to everyone!
