Fermented Foods & Digestive Health Workshop - with Tim Robinson, medical herbalist

  • Transition Stirling Unit 12 Stirling Arcade Stirling, FK8 1AX (map)

Would you like to know how your digestive system works, why common digestive problems such as food intolerances, heartburn and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) occur and how they can be fixed? Have you ever wondered what constitutes a fermented food? And just what the heck are gut bacteria anyway?

Medical herbalist Tim Robinson will guide you through the mysterious workings of the human digestive system, teach you how to take care of it through diet and lifestyle, and how to fix problems when they occur. You will learn about which other seemingly unrelated health problems can be traced back to the digestion, in particular the gut, and the latest scientific discoveries regarding this most vital organ and the bacteria that live in it.

In this practical and fascinating workshop you will get to taste and learn how to make your own delicious and health-promoting fermented, probiotic foods and drinks, and discover what really happens to the food you eat as it works its way through your body.
