How it works
A Tool Library works just like an ordinary library, except instead of borrowing books you can borrow all sorts of equipment. We have over 300 items in our tool library; from sewing machines and drills, & saws to mechanical tools, gardening tools and cooking equipment. We are are continually adding and updating the library.
How to borrow tools
In order to borrow tools from the library, you need to become a member. The suggested membership fee is £30 but we ask that you only pay what you can afford. Once you have joined, you can borrow as many tools as you wish, for free. You can join two ways:
You can join the tool library online through our website. You will be able to pay your membership fee and view and reserve tools however we will not be able to check tools out to you until we have verified your identity. You can do this the first time you come to check out tools by bringing some photographic ID and something with your address dated within the past 3 months.

To sign up in person visit us in the Stirling Arcade. We ask that you bring with you your membership fee, photographic ID & something with your address dated within the past 3 months.
